Kay Tong, the 2024 CABS president-elect, started a presentation by sharing her own experience in community service and professional career development, and introduced tools for a blanched lifestyle. Kay outlined four essential components for achieving a healthy work-life balance: responsibilities, priorities, boundaries, and time management. She emphasized the importance of clearly defining each aspect—understanding your responsibilities, setting your priorities, establishing boundaries, and recognizing your capabilities. To effectively manage your responsibilities, it is crucial to estimate the time each task requires and to schedule these tasks accordingly on a calendar. By actively managing your responsibilities, priorities, and boundaries, you maintain greater control over your work and personal life, thereby fostering a better work-life balance.
